As a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida, I provide clinical supervision to interns working towards their LMHC licensure. I approach supervision from an Integrative and Person-Centered model. I have an open-door policy, and I want my counselors to feel self-confident and empowered in their ability to provide therapy services. Thus, I create an authentic, trustful, empathetic, warm, and supportive environment.
I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and an IAEDP approved supervisor. Professionals pursuing the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist designation are required to be supervised by a qualified professional who has received approval from iaedp™’s Certification Committee. Supervision provides the opportunity for a clinician to learn and mature into an experienced eating disorders professional. It allows clinicians to enhance their self-awareness. In addition to working on skills and competencies, supervision fundamentally protects a client's welfare and improves the ability of a clinician to provide value to clients. Lastly, supervision allows for monitoring of the self-care of the health care professional.
I have over a decade of experience in the eating disorder field and offer a safe, non-judgmental approach to guide and support professionals in their process toward independent certification.
